Venom

topshop earrings

The afternoon we finally made it down to the beach... wearing the most perfect stylestaker blouse, a big kudos to them for providing me with the ideal holiday wardrobe and eased my packing by 100 %. Flowy sheer pieces that take up to no room, but look oh so good on.

as for the earrings.. I always wanted a dreamcatcher and surprisingly found it in the form of earrings on the day I flew out of london..

Childhood Flames Turns Two! @@@@

Looks like I missed the actual day of, but Childhood Flames turned 2 years old last Tuesday! It's hard to believe I've been
blogging for two years already, but looking back on old entries it's obvious how much I've changed. Thank you to every-
one who has continued to read Childhood Flames over the course of these two years. I am unbelievable grateful to
have such amazing readers. Thank you! xo

With Paris Fashion Week already halfway through (no reviews from me but Dries, Yohji, Haider & A.F. Vandevorst were
glorious) I thought I'd take a little break from showing you tired NYFW runway/presentation images that you've no doubt
seen on every other blog.

After having corresponded a bit via e-mail, I had the pleasure of finally meeting Eviana Hartman, the designer behind
Bodkin as well as her design partner, Claire and their intern (whose name I, very embarrassingly seem to have forgotten).
On my last day in the city, I stopped by their Brooklyn studio and got to see the creative space behind the clothes.

They also brought me by their showroom at Maryam Nassir Zadeh where I got to see their new Fall 2010 collection. I wish
I were wearing most of it right now. Will post photos soon!

The No. 6 boot club! Should've gotten a shot with my pair peeking in the frame...

apc sweater, bdg jeans, no. 6 boots

f21 sunglasses, converse x target jacket, babooshka boutique dress, steve madden oxfords

gap trench, f21 shirt & jeans, bruno magli oxfords
A couple outfits from the past week documented in various forms. Keeping things simple, easy. No thought necessary.

Goodbye winter term, hellooo spring break!

14/03/2011

Despite being terribly camera-shy, when Elisa invited me to be a part of Style Like U I couldn't say no. Check out
the feature here and spend some time exploring the site- I'm honored to be in such great company.

Trying on an Apiece Apart sweater in the Maryam Nassir Zadeh showroom.

ps. On Monday, I underwent some oral surgery so I'll probably be out of blogging condition for a while. In the meantime
I've got a couple posts (like this one) scheduled for the next week or two. By the time this is posted I'll probably be
squirting applesauce into my mouth with a syringe...

Bodkin A/W 2010As promised, here are photos of Bodkin's newest collection along with snaps of their lookbook, which features the
gorgeous Hanneli. Their fall 2010 collection is full of cozy sweaters, easy dresses and great outerwear all in a yummy color
palette. I had the chance to try on several pieces and each one looked and felt marvelous on. If I could have, I would've
stolen away with all of their knits.

Pleasure Principle F/W 2011

You are now aware that each and every one of these pieces is missing from your wardrobe. I know I am.

Adrian and Diva have done it again. These photos of Pleasure Principle's Fall 2010 collection have got me pining for

fall when we've barely even had a taste of spring here in Portland. Signature drape-y goodness mixed with scarves and
Zana's leather creations. Mmmmm...

SOMETIMES I DON'T WEAR BLACK @@@@

f21 sunglasses, bodkin top (thanks Eviana!), altered levi's jeans, gap shoes
Looking at these photos now is sorta bumming me out. Several weeks ago, Portland was treated to gorgeous, nearly 70 degree weather.
Since then we've had some nicer, rainless days here and there but overall it's been a pretty dreary couple of weeks. I am in need of some
serious sunshine therapy.
