Sack the stylist: Hayden Panettiere looked the worse for wear at the screening of her new film Hoodwinked Too at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York today


Hayden Panettiere is currently on a promotional blitz for her new movie Hoodwinked Too.

But it appears the petite star has been hoodwinked herself - into wearing a hideous outfit to the screening of the film during the Tribeca Film Festival in New York today.

The 21-year-old actress looked much older than her years in a dowdy orange and white print dress that had bits of material dangling from it.


The undesirable frock looked like it had gone tangled and torn in the washing machine and she decided to wear it anyway.

She paired the dress with an awkward fitting brown leather jacket and beige Christian Louboutin heels.

The former Heroes star joined co-star Amy Poehler, 39, on the red carpet to boost interest in the animated family flick.

Also at the premiere was Drita D'Avanzo and Carla Facciolo who are the stars of new reality show Mob Wives.

A synopsis of the upcoming movie describes it as: 'Red Riding Hood is training in the group of Sister Hoods, when she and the Wolf are called to examine the sudden mysterious disappearance of Hansel and Gretel.

The 5ft 2ins star is currently dating 6ft 6ins Ukranian boxer Wladimir Klitschko and told Ellen DeGeneres recently that they 'find a way' to make things work in the bedroom.

'He is quite a bit bigger than me,' she admitted on the afternoon chat show. 'I get the prudest people coming up to me and they're like, does it work? Yeah, it works. We find a way.'

'Where there's a will, there's a way!' she laughed. 'They're very conservative people often, and they just say they have to know!'

A surprised Ellen replied: 'I know what you're talking about but I'm in shock.'

But the Scream 4 star wasn't shy about addressing such personal matters. 'I don't mind it,' she said.

Hayden also revealed she'd recently suffered a fright after an intruder tried to break into her home in Beverly Hills.

After locking herself into a bathroom, she ended up climbing out of a window and sprinting away - only to come face-to-face with armed cops.

'It was about 11pm and the power went out. I heard this rattling on my office door and went into panic mode,' she said. 'Someone was trying to get into my house.

The former Heroes star said after grabbing her taser, panic alarm button, phone she jumped out of a window and ran along the street at the side of her house.

She then had seven lasers on her from police guns and she had to shout, 'Don't shoot, please!'

Hayden scaled it the most terrifying experience she had every gone through. The intruder had disappeared by the time they got back to the house.

Pipsqueak Hayden Panettiere has been dating gorgeous hunk of a man and boxing great Wladimir Klitschko on and off for about two years. I’ve made it clear how I feel about her in the past, and how I think she is in no way deserving of Klitschko. It’s not that she’s not cute in a very adolescent way, it’s just that she seems insufferable both in interviews and in stories I’ve read about her. Anyway Hayden’s hot boyfriend is 6′6″ and she’s just 5′1″. 

In an appearance on Ellen yesterday, she explained that people come up to her and ask her all the time how she manages to have sex with Klitschko. She didn’t get into specifics but she said the question didn’t bother her, because of course the bitch is proud that she’s nailing the world’s (current)* greatest heavyweight boxing champion, who wouldn’t be?

    In an interview with Ellen DeGeneres that aired today, the Scream 4 star revealed that people actually come up to her to ask how the 5-foot-1 actress and her 6-foot-6 boxer beau, Wladimir Klitschko, um…you know.

    “He is quite a bit bigger than me,” Hayden said, when Ellen commented on the height differential. “I get the prudest people [to] come up to me, and they’re like,” she said, lowering her voice to a whisper, “‘Does it work?’”

    “Yeah, it works. We find a way,” the 21-year-old actress said.

    To which Ellen replied, “I know what you’re talking about and I’m in shock.”

    “Where there’s a will, there’s a way!” Hayden insisted.

    “People ask you that?” Ellen said, still apparently rather shocked.

    “They do!” the one-time Heroes hero said. “And they’re very conservative people most of the time. They just have to know. Like have to know, ‘I just have to ask you this question!’”

    Ellen called such questions “crazy and rude,” but Hayden replied with a wave of her hand, “I don’t mind it. I find it amusing.”

    “Really?” Ellen wondered. “Well then, how does it work?”

Yes Hayden, now we’re all picturing you having sex with Klitschko. Mission accomplished. There are enough pictures of Hayden sitting on Klitschko’s lap to figure out how they work it out.

I guess she’s promoting Scream 4. I’ve only seen segments of the Scream movies and don’t really get their appeal. I watched the trailer though and I’m embarrassed to say it actually looks pretty good and that I want to see it now. It riffs on horror movie cliches but still manages to use them to entertain us. See, Hayden’s little story about how she gets to screw Klitschko served its purpose.

*I put in “current” because I don’t know much about sports and he could have been preceded by better boxers. According to wiki he “is historically the longest reigning Heavyweight Champion for the IBF, WBO & IBO Heavyweight Titles of both measurements of defenses and time.”

Hayden Panettiere was able to draw on a real-life experience for her role in ‘Scream 4.’ She was home alone once when a burglar tried to break into the house. She shared the details with E! News’ Marc Malkin.

“It was the scariest moment of my life,” Panettiere remembers about the break-in. “The alarm was going off and off and off, but no one was coming. As soon as I knew what was happening, I grabbed my Taser and my cellphone and locked myself in the bathroom.”
Oh, it gets better.

“I called a friend that lived close and I called my dad,” she said. “I was sitting and shaking by the toilet, but then was like, ‘Screw this! I’m not waiting for somebody to come barging in.’ So I crawled out the window.

“I’m running with this Taser in my hand and I run around the corner of the house and I’ve got like seven police with sniper rifles and lasers on me. I’m going, ‘Don’t shoot! Don’t shoot me, please!’”

CRAZY! I think I might’ve keeled over in the bathroom from a heart attack!


I always thought burglars preferred houses where no one was home, but this isn’t the first time I’ve heard of someone being at home during an attempted robbery.
