We’ve been watching these ladies film ‘Mildred Pierce’ over the last few months – so I’m excited it’s finally ready for public viewing. In case you need a reminder:

Kate Winslet Says We Think She’s A Fat Viking

Kate Winslet? A “fat viking”?! PLEASE.

She’s one of the most beautiful women in the business. The thought of calling her a fat anything has never crossed my mind. But Kate believes that the general public perceives her to be a “fat viking.”

“It seems to me I look very different from how people expect me to be.
Clearly they think I’m a great big fat Viking. My body is different through nothing other than my being older. My clothes fit me the same way they’ve fitted me for the last five, six years. And of course I was a lot more voluptuous then.”

She also added to British Vogue,

“I felt I had to defend my body and took a very public stand, which I still absolutely believe in. But I’ve stopped talking about it now. And, at a certain point, it does become hypocritical.”

And Kate talked about getting older,

“I’m more aware of things like wrinkles on my face. They’re becoming much more pronounced, because that’s the muscle I use the most when acting. But it’s my face. So, whatever.”

It PAINS me to hear that someone as gorgeous as Kate feels judged in the public eye for her curves.

Kate Winslet Gets Sexy For Lancôme

Kate Winslet is featured in a new ad for Lancôme’s ‘Absolu Nu’ Nude lipsticks and in the actress is shown lying on the floor in a hotel room, wrapped only in a sheet and talking on the phone.  Oh, and putting on her lipstick.

I saw the commercial over on FOX 411’s site and couldn’t help but wonder what the ad had to do with lipstick! Kate does look stunning though.

eNewly single Kate Winslet looks ready to mingle! Kate left the Bafta Building in London before visiting the Louis Vuitton store in Mayfair. The Oscar-winning actress, who was wearing a simple knee-length black ensemble paired with Christian Louboutins, is getting over her recent split with boyfriend, English model Louis Dowler. (Pacific Coast News)

Kate Winslet – who announced she had separated from director Sam Mendes in March 2010 after almost seven years of marriage – feels as though she is currently at a time in her life when she needs to be single.

And the Oscar winner now just wants to concentrate on her two children - 10-year-old Mia, her daughter with ex-husband Jim Threapleton, and seven-year-old Joe, her son with Sam.

Kate - who embarked on a brief relationship with Burberry model Louis Dowler a few months after her marriage ended – said in an interview with Vogue: “Experiencing those moments of being alone ... is a very, very weird flooring and exposing position to be in when you're just not used to it. And it's not just being in a relationship. It's also the fact that I grew up in a family full of people."

She doesn't mind the solitude, though. “I've never been lonely. And with my kids Mia and Joe that remains the case. But to be in this place now where I can say I really like this space. I really need to not have anyone around. It's a surprise to discover that I like being on my own," she added.
